Beliefs and Limitations

It is very important to take a personal inventory of what your beliefs are and how they may limit the flow of Source coming into your live. I find that a good tool to discover these limitations is a piece of paper and a pencil. Simply sit down, center yourself and above all be honest with yourself. Write down your beliefs, your fears, and any issues that limit you in life due to circumstances and old programming. Once you discover these, change the old beliefs. If you have a belief that you are not guided, write an affirmation such as I am constantly guided by God and my Guides.

We are spirit. Children from Source, who are capable of creating and manifesting the life we want. We are artists who paint the picture that we call life. We are the adventures who choose which paths to take and who comes with us. All can be determined by our belief system and the limitations we place on ourselves.

Every second of everyday, our reality is projected from our mind. The world around us is comprised from our belief systems. We see, feel and learn what we perceive to be reality. Scenes are literally created before the lenses of our eyes. As our attention is directed toward the scene, it begins to unfold and play itself out. Whether this is at home, work or even at the grocery store. The stage is being set as you walk down the isle. It is a constant unfolding. The scenery, the cast of characters and the story line are projected from belief system and limitations.

Life is an illusion. The scenes in front of us are mere pixels that have formed into an image. When you turn your head away, the images lose their form and return to that state of pixels and energy. When you put your attention back on that object, it becomes that shape again. Belief system and limitations are a culmination of what we think objects are made of, what they are comprised of and what we think reality is. Our belief system filters what we experience in life. It limits what we see with our physical eyes, what we sense using our extended or psychic sense and can limit what spiritual experiences we have.

Limitations of what we think life is about or should be, literally places filters on top of our consciousness. It can be compared to placing layers of cheese cloth over a bowl. Those dense layers filter and slow what drops into the bowl. It limits what goes into the bowl based on the denseness of layers that are applied. Likened to a computer firewall, these limitations are rules that we have created to block specific traffic flowing to and from us. This is what we do when limitations are placed on ourselves and the world around us. Limitations block growth and development psychically and spiritually. They hinder what we attract into our lives, including money, people, places, events and teachings from our spirit guides and or silence. Our job is to remove those layers of limitations, hold in our consciousness that there are no limitations and allow the possibility of the impossible to come into our lives. The intent that your limitations are being peeled away and your consciousness is raising is paramount to the success of removing the limitations. It is taking charge of your life and the direction you wish to take it. When you place your thoughts on not being limited, and have the conviction that you are open to the wonder, the awe and magic of life, you literally feel the layers remove.

This requires holding in your conscious a mental or vibrational state, a thought that you are no longer limited and that you have faith that all limitations are being removed. The best definition of faith that was given to me is this; Faith is the ability to see the invisible. Start seeing the invisible. What is involved in changing your belief systems and having faith? Taking a quantum leap.
Fred Alan Wolf, in his award-winning book titled Taking the Quantum Leap, describes the term as:
“…the explosive jump that a particle of matter undergoes in moving from one place to another …in a figurative sense, taking the quantum leap means taking a risk, going off into an uncharted territory with no guide to follow”

This is the type of thinking that needs to take place in order to break though our outmoded thinking and beliefs. While you are going through this leap of faith know that you are being guided throughout the entire jump! As you prepare to land, notice how your feet move on there own as they touch the ground. This is true guidance.

Your belief system, or the consciousness that you hold, allows you to see and experience what you have put in your belief system. A good example of this is seeing auras. Everyone can see the aura of the moon, because it has been accepted into our belief system. To most, the aura of the moon is the mere light that surrounds the object. For others who are open to energy, they know that light is its aura. Same goes for seeing auras around people and objects. Individuals who believe that auras exist, and do not hold that limitation, will see the aura around people and objects. Those that do not believe in auras will not see them because they have added that filter to their belief systems. The same holds true for believing and knowing that we are guided and taught in silence. We may not hear and or see this guidance in the physical but it is a constant state of belief that it is occurring right now.

Ambushed

Have you ever woke up with a dreadful and eerie feeling that all your hard work, all your goals, dreams and aspirations that you have focused on will not come to fruition? And that anything you are doing in that direction will be and is an utter failure, including yourself?

WOW! What a way to start the day! What are you supposed to do to recover from something like that? In this scenario, I think you can do one of several things:

  1. Give in to the negativity. Feed the feeling of fear and of being a failure.
  2. Stay in bed. Try to sleep off that emotional hangover and hope to God it goes away soon.
  3. Regroup and come up with a way to recover from the ambush. Run whats called a counter ambush!

Unfolding

As I look down my path, I reflect on where I started and where I am today.  I remember many wonderful experiences, new and exciting people and the subtle change in my consciousness.

I do remember times that I considered rough.  During those times I felt that my spiritual growth and psychic development either had stopped completely or slowed to a crawl.  I can remember periods of sorrow, anger and depression.  I would look outside myself and compare my progression to others.  I saw individuals making leaps and bounds but yet I was hardly moving. I wanted everything now and I did not want to wait for it.  I wanted to be the best psychic, the best medium and I wanted this to happen overnight.  My ego would get involved and pretty soon I had convinced myself that I was less than others.

Contemplating my path, I realize (real eyes) that all this time I am unfolding.  This unfolding can feel like it’s slow at times but it is a natural progression that leads me to a state of higher consciousness.  Unfolding is an actual state of being, it is a process.  I would compare it to a lotus blooming.  Slowly my petals of consciousness open up and reveal to me who I truly am.  Over time I am shown my center.  If I let go, I can feel this process occurring.  It feels as if layers of blankets are slowly pulled away from me, and I feel my consciousness expand as each layer is unfolded.  This is part of the integration, taking in lessons that you have learned over time and absorbing them into your consciousness. Free Will

Recently I was asked by the owner of a local metaphysical store if I could assist her with one of her customers.  The customer had received a reading from another psychic which turned out to be a very frightening experience for her.  The customer was scared to death.  She was literally shaking and petrified when I first saw her.

I immediately explained to her that we all have free will.  It is our gift that has been given to us. We are creative beings.  We co-create with Source.  We do this with our thoughts, intentions, affirmations and visualizations.  We can change the outcome. I then proceeded to tell her that if she was told anything from either me or another psychic that she didn’t like, she should not accept it, say mentally or out loud, “I will not accept this” and then visualize a change in the outcome.

I also explained to her The Law of Attraction.  I told her that we are vibrations and our vibrations attract like vibrations.  So if you are afraid of something, you should change your thoughts about it and see it with your minds eye in a different light. Continue reading

Mental Equivalent

I have many clients who come to me asking how to manifest their dreams and desires.
I immediately tell them that they must have a Mental Equivalent in their mind of what they want to manifest.

They must see the object of their desire in their mind and know that it is already here.
If it exists in Spirit, it will exist in the physical.

Emmet Fox wrote, “Supply yourself with a mental equivalent and the thing must come to you.” He continued saying “Everything that you see of feel on the material plane, whether it is your body, your home, your buisness, or your city, is but the concrete expression of a mental equivalent that you hold.” Continue reading

Learning Through Silence

It has been my experience that I am constantly being taught and guided in
silence.  Not that this silence is completely silent but that it is a higher
understanding and a constant communication with spirit, my teachers and my
higher Self.  This “silence” most of the time is an unspoken word.  It is a
deliberate form of intent from Spirit that teaches and guides me along my
path.  I feel that this is one of the ways that my psychic abilities have
developed as well as having my consciousness increase.

At times when I concentrate on this silence I can hear words but most of the
time I feel a constant connection and a stream of communication.  I would
compare this to my physical connection that I have with the internet.  I
have a cable modem that is plugged into the internet.  It is always on, and
packets of information are constantly being directed to my computer.

I feel the most important part to this process is my intent, willingness and
awareness of being open to the idea that this direction and teaching is
happening.  I mentally open myself to the experience, I allow.  It is a
knowing, an understanding that what ever I am doing on a conscious and
subconscious level this process continues. Continue reading
