Listening to Source

In meditation we are to sit and Be Present. For most of us, that is very hard. Why is that? Our ego wants us to do the exact opposite of what we are trying to accomplish in meditation. That is, to discover our true Self.

There comes a point in meditation where all you can do is Listen to Source. It is not listening with our physical hearing, but with a higher level of faith and understanding that can be only developed during periods of deep rest and contemplation.

This listening takes you out of time and places you in Eternity where Source is. It is a higher understanding and experience that you are in relationship with Source and that you are perfect and Truly loved. You do not have to say anything, do anything or be anything other than who you Truly were made to Be.

What are we listening for? Silence! Utter Silence. This Silence is in the backdrop of Stillness. It becomes an active participation of Oneness. It shifts from a doing to a Being. It is a gentle stretch from your physical emotional system of understanding to your higher spiritual faculties; which put you in accordance with the Present moment.

When you Listen to Source, you are giving yourself utterly to Her, giving your presence and joining a deep conversation of Love and Trust.

Learning Through Silence

It has been my experience that I am constantly being taught and guided in
silence.  Not that this silence is completely silent but that it is a higher
understanding and a constant communication with spirit, my teachers and my
higher Self.  This “silence” most of the time is an unspoken word.  It is a
deliberate form of intent from Spirit that teaches and guides me along my
path.  I feel that this is one of the ways that my psychic abilities have
developed as well as having my consciousness increase.

At times when I concentrate on this silence I can hear words but most of the
time I feel a constant connection and a stream of communication.  I would
compare this to my physical connection that I have with the internet.  I
have a cable modem that is plugged into the internet.  It is always on, and
packets of information are constantly being directed to my computer.

I feel the most important part to this process is my intent, willingness and
awareness of being open to the idea that this direction and teaching is
happening.  I mentally open myself to the experience, I allow.  It is a
knowing, an understanding that what ever I am doing on a conscious and
subconscious level this process continues. Continue reading
